LOCATION AND COMMUNICATION

Airway: through Tom Jobim International Airport, or "Galeão", and "Santos Dumont" National Airport, both about 45 km from the area, in Rio de Janeiro; to the Maricá Airport, just 4 km; and through Heliports located in the development itself.

Road: through the RJ-106 Highway, with two lanes per direction, which connects the area to Rio de Janeiro.

Seaway: through several marinas located in Guanabara Bay, in Rio de Janeiro, such as "Marina da Glória", and in Niterói.

NATURE, DISCOVER FROM PARADISE

MARAEY comprises an extensive coastal strip of about 844 hectares, bounded north by a 12.5 km line of lagoon margin, south by a 8.5 km oceanic coastline, east by the existing coastal population of Marcia’s municipality, and west by the São Bento Canal, separating it from another inhabited strip in this coastline.

Our goal is to recover more than 130 hectares to obtain 680 ha of Native Vegetation Reserved Area of MARAEY's 844 total hectares, protecting and promoting the development and conservation of the local fauna and flora.

The more than 800 animal species include 67 types of mammals, 223 of birds, 61 of reptiles and amphibians, 368 of insects and 84 of aquatic species. These species inhabit the 6 types of vegetative restinga that occupy the territory of MARAEY along with 522 different plants species. This area includes the creation of the 2nd largest "Private Reserve of Natural Heritage" (RPPN) of the State of Rio de Janeiro with more than 440 ha, as well as various areas of preservation and conservation of wildlife.

It is noteworthy that the areas of protection include green corridors (protected areas that facilitate the circulation of native fauna).

CULTURE, ENJOY PARADISE

Due to its proximity to Rio de Janeiro, at the "Wonderful City" you will have the opportunity to enjoy Rio de Janeiro’s culture while visiting emblematic places like the Corcovado Christ, the Sugar Loaf, the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, bohemian neighborhoods like Santa Teresa and Lapa and more. For sure leaving you seduced by the rhythm of his famous samba and the warm character of its people.
Likewise, in Maricá, located in the imposing Lake District, you will enjoy the breathtaking landscape when climbing to the top of the Pedra do Elefante mountain, as well as countless lakes and beautiful beaches where you can scuba dive or sail to the blue grotto and other cultural attractions. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to experience the learning of artisanal fishing techniques, native to the municipality, while visiting the fishing village of Zacarias.
MARAEY will count with a flora and fauna observation and conservation center. The prestigious architect Oscar Niemeyer has been in charge of designing this Environmental Reference Center, as well as an Oceanographic Aquarium, considered an architectural jewel of national reference.

We intend to become a hotel training benchmark in Latin America with the start-up of the Hotel Management and Haute Cuisine Marey Campus by the hand of a prestigious School of Hospitality.
